Procedural writing by Kotipi

Kia Ora, and welcome to my procedural on how to write a procedural.

First you need to start with one step at a time. You need to be specific and say interesting words in your procedural. Before all of that though you, have to start with a greeting like how I started at the beginning. Then write what you are going to do your procedural about. Remember be specific about what you say in your sentences.

Secondly write about your subject or what your procedural is going to be about. Make sure if you have one idea then one paragraph, if you have another idea then another new paragraph. Also make sure that you don’t just write one sentence. Like I said before add some specific words and also add detail.

Thirdly or  lastly  write a conclusion, write  what was at the beginning but not to much. Also write what you think it’s good for, or something maybe in common. Then you are done. Thank you for reading my procedural.

My favourite place in New Zealand by Diego

My favourite place in New Zealand.

My favourite place in New zealand is rainbows end because it has  rides food and  movie games that look like you're on the ride. The scariest ride that I like is the rollercoaster because it goes upside down
It was so fun and scary and the one that I like the most in the rainbows end was fear fall because when you go up you go down really fast that will make you scream really loud then it goes slow when it is near the bottom of it that is my favourite and my heart was beating so fast that I got scared.

When I went on some rides I felt hungry so I had burger hotdog chips coke and cotton candy after I got tired so I wanted to go home.It was the best day ever.

The Time I Was Proud Of Myself...by Agueer

Intro- Kia Ora today I am writing about when I was proud of myself. It is about when I had a maths test, I did mine late after the others because I was away.

Middle 1-It was in June when it happened, we were doing our science with room 10 then Mrs Riley (my teacher) called me and Nurul to do the test. For each sheet we had 50  questions but the time me and Nurul had was 4 minutes.

Middle 2- The next day Mrs Riley told me my result, when I heard it I was proud of myself a lot. Each of our class got letters like A B C D and E. I got an A- and my friend Kotipi got a B- her score was 131 and mine was 168 which made me an A-.

In conclusion I am very proud of myself and also Kotipi for getting the two highest marks.

Practicing our routine by Kate

These are photos of of room 9 practising our routine. The two students from room nine who
created the routine was Limiteti and I. It was a lot
of work teaching the rest of room 9 the routine
but it was mostly the boys. The first step in the routine was skip and kick three times. After practising for about two days they finally got it.
The next step was to choose if you want to do
double dutch our just normal skipping with the big ropes. When we presented our routine it felt
really cool.

Have you ever wondered....

Have you ever wondered what a totally fantastic day might look like?  Well if you are in room 9 the answer could be receiving news that one of our class members will have a piece of writing published in the Toi Toi series.  This was so unexpected.  We hoped that it would be selected but knew that there were so many students submitting written work, that the "odds be ever in our favour" probably wouldn't be.
We are all so incredibly proud of her work and she has inspired others in the class to try to create written work that will be selected one day too.

With hard work, perseverance, time and effort we can achieve great things.  This shows us all that anyone/everyone can be better than before.
